The Israeli Minister of Labor, Mr. Yoav Ben Tzur, arrived in Vietnam on May 18, 2025, to work with Vietnamese authorities to enhance multifaceted cooperation, including issues related to labor and employment.
According to the Israeli Minister of Labor, the country is currently in urgent need of about 60,000 workers in the construction section and about 200,000 workers in others. Minister Yoav Ben Tzur shared that he has witnessed the hard work, diligence, professionalism, and high sense of responsibility of Vietnamese workers; Israel hopes to, is ready, and will create conditions to welcome more skilled workers from Vietnam.
The Prime Minister of Vietnam agreed to speed up the negotiation and signing of the Labor Agreement between the two countries, no later than June 2025. The Israeli Minister stated that while waiting for the negotiation and signing, businesses from both sides could collaborate directly to send workers to Israel for employment.
Although there are still some differences in policies related to labor and employment issues between the two countries, representatives of both countries are actively working to soon specify the working conditions and policies related to workers when working in Israel... in order to present to the relevant levels through the agreement on labor between Vietnam and Israel, in accordance with the timeline required by the Prime Minister of Vietnam.
